German debts set to blow 'like a grenade'
Germany's financial regulator BaFin has warned that the toxic debts of the country's banks will blow up "like a grenade" unless they take advantage of the government's bad bank plans to prepare for the next phase of the crisis.

WASHINGTON – The company touting itself as the "world's largest out-of-home media" enterprise has banned WND's national billboard campaign that asks one simple question: "Where's the birth certificate?"
CBS Outdoor, a division of CBS Corp. that sells more outdoor advertising than any other billboard company in North America, refuses to accept purchases of space on any of its 550,000 displays nationwide, media buyers for WND report.
The billboard campaign was begun last month by Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, due to his frustration with media colleagues not giving attention to what he sees as critical questions about Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility to serve as president.
"Here we have one of the largest media companies in the U.S. now not only refusing to allow news coverage of a vitally important national question being asked by millions of Americans, but one that won't even permit the purchase of space to raise the question," said Farah. "What is the value of a First Amendment in a country when this kind of self-censorship is at work – self-censorship specifically geared to stifle inquiry and debate about the most powerful person in the country."
Farah maintains Obama has not proved he is constitutionally eligible to serve as president as a "natural born citizen, and suggests only the release of his long-form birth certificate showing the hospital of his birth, attending physician and other details can conclusively meet that test. Obama's presidential campaign released to select news organizations only what is known as a "certification of live birth," a document obtainable in Hawaii in 1961 by Americans actually born outside the country.

US president Barack Obama stressed the need for mutual respect and tolerance among the world's faiths, denigrated al Qaeda and extremism, said the US "does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements," will respect all elected peaceful governments provided they respect their peoples, and called for universal human and women's rights to be upheld. His much awaited speech to more than a billion Muslims which quoted extensively from the Koran, but also the Bible and the Talmud, won cheers from the selected 3,000 strong audience in Cairo University's Great Hall Thursday, June 4.
Along with a declaration that US bonds with Israel are unbreakable, President Obama demanded that Israel and the Palestinians uphold their obligations to the roadmap. "America will align its policies with those who seek peace – Israelis, Palestinians or Arabs," he declared and promised to personally pursue the goal of peace and security for breaking the Israel-Palestinian stalemate. Palestinians must be allowed to live a normal life in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, he said, but they must abandon violence.
Rockets on sleeping children or bombs killing old people on a bus are intolerable, but the US does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements and Israel must recognize the Palestinian right to the dignity of a state of their own but so must the Arab world recognize Israel.
It should not exploit the Middle East conflict to distract their peoples from their problems. Privately, he said,, many Arabs recognize that Israel will not go away, just as many Israelis recognize the Palestinians right to a state. America will align its policies those who seek peace, Israelis, Palestinians or Arabs. "Jerusalem must be the lasting home for all faiths, all the children of Abraham."
Obama began his speech by saying: "I have come to Cairo to seek a new beginning of mutual respect between America and Muslims: Salaam Aleikum." America and Islam are not mutually exclusive; they share common principles." Muslims have enriched America in many fields.
But no one should tolerate al Qaeda which killed members of all faiths, most of all Muslims, Obama stressed. America went to war to pursue al Qaeda after it ruthlessly murdered more than 3,000 Americans on Sept. 11. The United States is not fighting Islam in Afghanistan and Pakistan, but extremists who violate the Koranic injunction against killing innocents. US troops will be out of Iraq by 2012, he pledged.
He spoke frankly about the state of democracy, human and women's rights and education, with obvious implications for Muslim nations and governments.
From Egypt, the US president flies to Europe for two days during which he will visit Dresden and pay his respects at the site of the Nazi concentration camp at Buchenwald. From Germany he travels to Normandy to attend D-Day anniversary ceremonies.

New book Renegade about Barack Obama's Presidential run, details a time when not everything came up Rose Garden for the Bam Fam.
Back in 2000 things were a lot frostier between Barack and wife Michelle.
"There was little conversation and even less romance," author Richard Wolffe, who covered the campaign for Newsweek writes.
"She was angry at his selfishness and careerism; he thought she was cold and ungrateful."
At the time Obama was a junior state senator in Illinois who got clobbered in the Democratic primaries by the incumbent by a 2-1 margin. Michelle was a relatively new mom with Maila, 2, at home and Sasha on the way.
"She hated the failed race for Congress in 2000, and their marriage was strained by the time their youngest daughter, Sasha, was born," the book says.
"Politics seemed like a waste of time to Michelle." She obviously changed her mind.

A free speech organization says it is fighting officials at Community College of Allegheny County after they first banned a student from trying to organize a chapter of Students for Concealed Carry on Campus, then reaffirmed that activity would not be permitted on campus.
According to a statement from The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, a nonprofit educational foundation that works on behalf of individual rights, due process, freedom of expression, academic freedom, and rights of conscience at colleges and universities, the case involves student Christine Brashier.
She had sought to form the SCCC chapter on the Pittsburgh-area campus and in April created on pamphlets to give to classmates encouraging them to join her.
Her pamphlets stated that the group "supports the legalization of concealed carry by licensed individuals on college campuses." She personally distributed copies of the pamphlets, which identified her as a "Campus Leader" of the effort to start the chapter.
