I HAVE DECIDED TO SHOW YOU SOME INTERNAL MIM PARTS WHICH ARE METAL INJECTION MOLDED PARTS (POWDERED STEEL) AND ARE BEING USED IN MOST CURRENTLY MANUFACTURED AMERICAN MADE HANDGUNS.

I WANT YOU TO STUDY THIS PICTURE OF PARTS AND SEE IF ANY OF THEM LOOK FAMILIAR TO YOU. YOU BE THE JUDGE AND DECIDE IF THE AMERICAN HANDGUN YOU ARE NOW PURCHASING HAS REALLY BEEN 100% MADE IN AMERICA.

OR ARE THESE HANDGUN MANUFACTURERS PLAYING ALL OF US LIKE A FIDDLE AND WE ARE NOW GLOBALIZED EVEN WITH THE INTERNAL PARTS OF OUR FAVORITE AMERICAN MADE HANDGUN.

THE AMERICAN DREAM OF TRUE QUALITY IS OVER. MOST OF THESE COMPANIES ARE RUN BY BEAN COUNTERS AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT ANYTHING BUT PROFIT MARGINS.

NOT MANY PEOPLE LIKE ME CARE ABOUT QUALITY, ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY. ALWAYS FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL ON JUST ABOUT ANYTHING AND YOU WILL FIND OUT WHAT IS HAPPENING AND WHY. THIS IS MY OPINION ONLY.

US seeks to buy ammunition from Taiwan as stocks run low

United Evening News -Taiwan
January 5, 2005

The United States is planning to buy hundreds of millions of bullets from Taiwan in the first such deal as its supplies are running low after wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, a report said Thursday. Citing Taiwanese military sources, the United Evening News said Washington had made the request to acquire some 300 million 5.56 NATO ammunition for rifles for an estimated two billion Taiwan dollars (62.5 million US).

The deal was yet to be finalized pending price negotiations, it said.

An unnamed general quoted by the paper said it would be the first time for Washington, Taiwan's leading arms supplier, to acquire arms from the island.

In line with its usual practice, Taiwan's defense ministry declined to comment on the report.

Taiwan produces some 400 million such 5.56 NATO rounds annually, according to the paper. It added most rifle ammunition is manufactured by an arsenal in southern Kaohsiung which has storage problems due to declining demand in the absence of any military conflict across the Taiwan Strait.

The paper also said Taiwan had exported T-91 rifles to several countries in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Washington Wednesday agreed to sell air-to-ground Hellfire missiles worth 50 million US dollars to Taiwan to help the island defend itself against threats from rival China.

"The US Army has executed a letter of agreement with Taiwan, setting the stage for the sale of more than 400 AGM-114M blast-fragmentation Hellfire rounds under a foreign military sales contract," US defense giant Lockheed Martin Corporation said.

It would take the company about six months to make the Hellfire missiles ordered by Taiwan.

The missiles will be mounted on Taiwan's Super Cobra AH-1W attack and OH-58D Kiowa Warrior scout helicopters.

Taiwan ships 1 billion bullets to United States: report

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Taiwan has shipped one billion rifle bullets to the United States for NT$560 million in a rare arms sale to the United States, it was reported yesterday.

The 5.56 mm bullets are mainly used to replenish supplies which have run low after wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Taipei-based China Times reported, citing a military source.

Taiwan's defence ministry last year beat off competition from the likes of Singapore and South Korea to win the five-year contract from a U.S. military subcontractor, it was reported.

In a separate deal, the China Times said the Taiwanese Army plans to purchase 60 UH-60M Black Hawk transport helicopters from Washington for NT$71.7 billion.

The US is the leading arms supplier to Taiwan -- something China objects to -- with Beijing regarding the island as part of its territory awaiting reunification, by force if necessary.

Taiwan has been seeking more advanced weaponry amid China's repeated threats to invade.

Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian last week accused China of provoking the island by targeting it with nearly 1,000 missiles.

Tensions between Taipei and Beijing escalated since the independence leaning leader was elected president in 2000. He was narrowly re-elected in 2004.

STEPHEN CAMP - BHP - WIN. 127 Grain +P+ Ammo

9mm Hi Power and Winchester 127-grain +P+ JHP

By Stephen Camp

www.hipowersandhandguns.com

Most serious students of "stopping power" opine that the most potent load for the 9mm under a variety of situations is either Winchester's 127-gr. +P+ Ranger JHP or their standard pressure 147-gr. Ranger load. I prefer the former as I personally think that velocity is more important than some folks do. Both of these rounds are "restricted" by Winchester for law enforcement sales only. There is no federal law against private citizens using it, but it is possible that some states prohibit its use by non-law enforcement folks.

For these reasons, many people seek out this ammunition with a fervor…and my layman-like testing indicates that it is very good. It probably is the ne plus ultra of high-performance 9mm loads.

Winchester's Ranger line of law enforcement ammunition in .380, 9mm, and .45 ACP is probably the ultimate currently available high-performance ammunition. The expanded 127-grain 9mm bullet shown next to the loaded cartridge was fired into water. It achieves this type of performance through barriers as well and this is why it seems to be a most desired round. Note also the "hooks" due to the reverse taper jacket. The overblown "liberal" reaction to these hooks that "rip your guts out" by the liberals is why Winchester took their original "Black Talon" ammo off the public market. During the Clinton years when Black Talon was introduced, there was a very real effort to ban all JHP ammunition and Winchester voluntarily removed their "offending" Black Talon to avoid this possibility.

Another reason that this load is popular is that it works well from shorter barrel 9mm pistols like the Glock 26. There's only 23 ft/sec less velocity from the round fired in a Glock than the longer barreled Hi Power.

Based on 10-shot averages, I obtained the following chronograph data with this ammunition:

Fired from the Browning Mk III with the factory bbl, the Winchester 127-gr. +P+ JHP (RA9TA) averaged 1269 ft/se. Extreme spread was only 31 ft/sec with a standard deviation of 11 ft/sec.

From the Glock 26, it averaged 1246 ft/sec. It had an extreme spread of 33 ft/sec and a standard deviation of 13 ft/sec. Expansion was essentially the same as from the Hi Power.

It is my belief that if you plan to shoot +P+ ammunition in the Hi Power that you are best served by going to a Wolff conventional 18.5-lb recoil spring and I also use a buffer. At least use the 18.5-lb spring if you plan to shoot much of this ammunition.

The Winchester RA9TA groups well from the Browning Mk III. It's grouped very well in several other 9mm pistols that I've tried it in as well. Accuracy potential is not a problem with this load.

A Browning Hi Power loaded with this ammunition is probably about as good as you can get in terms of "stopping power." The question is, "Is it THAT much better than other loads more readily obtainable by private citizens?"

In 9mm, a Hi Power loaded and tested with this ammo is probably about as potent a combination as one can have in this caliber. Though I've found the RA9TA to be utterly reliable in several 9mm pistols, always test any potential defensive ammo in the pistol it's to be used in.

While I believe that Winchester's LEO ammo to be at the top of the heap, I do not believe that it's "vastly superior" to other ammunition. I certainly don't think its fine expansion characteristics or "hooks" are enough to offset the need for placement. All is NOT lost if you're forced to load your defensive 9mm handgun with something other than this ammunition. With solid hits, I'm not convinced that we would actually see any difference in terminal effect. The strong point with this ammo is that it reliably expands under almost any conditions and after passing through intermediate barriers. If memory serves, it penetrates in the 12 to 14" range in 10% ballistic gelatin from most pistols.

While I cannot say for sure as I've heard of no actual shooting results with it, Corbon's new "PowRball" 100-gr. +P 9mm cartridge might be about as good for self-protection. Though it expands massively in water and 10% gelatin tests, it is described as being a "hard" bullet and it does normally penetrate about 12" in gelatin. Its profile mimics that of FMJ and I've found it to be both reliable and accurate from the Browning Hi Power. Though costly, it is available to private citizens.

For people wanting high-performance loads, but who cannot get Winchester's Ranger "T" line of ammo, I think that Corbon 100-gr. PowRball might be a very viable substitute. It's consistently expanded very well after passing through barriers from plywood to 4 layers of denim before hitting the test gelatin.

Speer offers what might make a really close "substitute" for the Winchester in its Lawman 124-gr. Gold Dot Hollow Point in the +P loading. From the same Mk III, it averaged 1199 ft/sec and gave very good accuracy and 100% feed reliability. It, too, has performed well in ballistic gelatin whether or not barriers have been placed in front of the gelatin or not.

While the Winchester load probably does sit at the top of the list in "effectiveness," one should not assume that other loads simply cannot do the job. I think they can and suspect that the actual difference in performance will be insignificant compared to placement, tactics, and to some degree, luck. That said, Winchester's 127-grain +P+ JHP has proven itself to be extremely reliable and consistent. It is my first choice in defensive 9mm loads, but it's not the only choice.

FEDERAL'S NEW EXPANDING FULL METAL JACKET BULLET - RECOMMENDED

TACTICAL® EFMJ
EFMJ brings a new standard to bullet expansion technology.
Federal’s exclusive EFMJ bullet design provides the most consistent expansion and reduced risk of collateral damage. This one-of-a-kind bullet design combines a scored full-metal nose over an internal rubber tip that collapses on impact—not based on hydraulics. Its fully enclosed design means it never fills with barrier material and ensures controlled expansion directly upon impact. A low-flash propellant is ideal for low-light tactical applications, while EFMJ’s bullet profile promotes smooth feeding in automatics. It’s the perfect choice for reliable expansion and penetration—not to mention for agencies that don’t permit hollow point ammunition.

Ya'akov Journeyed on to Sukkot, Part 2

We are now nearing the end of the lunar month of Marcheshvan in the Fourth Year of Sukkot, the year of Moshe Rabbeinu, and it is time to take stock. We are rushing headlong into a seemingly frightening "International Peace Conference" in which yours truly could lose his home along with tens of thousands of others.

No wonder why the sub-prime mortgage crisis, in which citizens of the
Land of Magog are on the verge of losing huge chunks of equity in their homes, is hitting calamitous crisis mode at this time. Much more needs to be written about this topic, but there is an even more urgent matter brewing at the surface. Apparently NATO troops are getting ready to take up the power vacuum in Judea and Samaria when the IDF vacates its posts.

Discussion about this is in the preliminary stages, but the significance of this cannot be overestimated. A quick perusal of Yechezkel 38 lists the nations which will "invade" the Land of Israel. Meshech (Moscow) and Tuval (Tobolsk) are most probably forces from Russia, containing within it the European and the Siberian flanks of the Russian Empire.

Curiously the text then lists the following Japhetic peoples who will descend upon the mountains of the Holy Land in addition to Meshech and Tubal.
Gomer and all of her flanks, the House of Togarmah in the uttermost parts of the north- Many Peoples will be with you.

The last time I checked the genealogy of Gomer and Togarmah respectively, these nations were Germany and Turkey respectively. There is only one flag under which German and Turkish forces serve side by side. That flag is NATO. I am, therefore at least in part (one can never be 100% sure), expecting NATO troops to be patrolling alongside Russian troops in Judea and Samaria sometime before the end of this year 5768. Of course when this happens, all Heaven will break loose.

As it says in verse 21, I will summon the sword against him (Gog's troops) in all of my mountains. So alas, the Palestinian Authority is not equipped to take over the power vacuum when the IDF vacates Judea and Samaria, but Gog's troops will be equipped. At least so it seems.

Zechariah Chapter 14

1 Behold, a day of the LORD cometh, when thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, but the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when He fighteth in the day of battle.
4 And His feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleft in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, so that there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azel; yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah; and the LORD my God shall come, and all the holy ones with Thee.
ו וְהָיָה, בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא; לֹא-יִהְיֶה אוֹר, יְקָרוֹת יקפאון (וְקִפָּאוֹן). 6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that there shall not be light, but heavy clouds and thick;
7 And there shall be one day which shall be known as the LORD'S, not day, and not night; but it shall come to pass, that at evening time there shall be light.

9 And the LORD shall be King over all the earth; in that day shall the LORD be One, and His name one.
10 All the land shall be turned as the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; and she shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananel unto the king's winepresses.
יא וְיָשְׁבוּ בָהּ, וְחֵרֶם לֹא יִהְיֶה-עוֹד; וְיָשְׁבָה יְרוּשָׁלִַם, לָבֶטַח. {ס} 11 And men shall dwell therein, and there shall be no more extermination; but Jerusalem shall dwell safely. {S}
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the peoples that have warred against Jerusalem: their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their sockets, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Seal your PRIMERS and more - DO IT NOW

I live in a world of reality. I think beyond normal events as its better to prepare now in order to care for the handgun that you will rely on for the protection of life and property.
The following are a list of my priorities I feel have become a necessity. NO ONE should ever carry ammunition unless you seal your primers. I like to use bright red nail polish.

Take a box of ammo and paint the entire primer and the lettering on the rear of the case, let it dry completely, when it is absolutely dry take a paper towel and wrap it around your index finger, put nail polish remover on the paper towel and wipe off the back of the case, removing all the red nail polish except what remains in and around the primer and in the lettering, so its easy to see. Put a printed label on the box of ammo or a permanent colored round dot so you can easily identify which box has sealed primers. Your ammunition is now protected from penetrating oil of any kind, from the primer area.

I always went a step further and cleaned each carry bullet with Flitz or Simichrome polish, and then I applied Flitz pure carnuba wax to each bullet that I would constantly carry. It will prevent corrosion and it will feed better. I have been doing this for many years.
People have died because when they needed their handgun, they had a dead primer because of oil penetrating their primer. A product like WD 40 will destroy your primer.

When you select your main semi auto carry hangun you will need to stock extra magazine, recoil, firing pin springs, etc, etc. It never hurts to have a second identical handgun so you could canabalize it for parts in an emergency. I have started using Silicone wire recoil springs that are excellent. If you have selected a Government 1911 pistol stay with the factory standard 16 lb. recoil spring. I only recommend conventional recoil springs. I do not like variable recoil springs.

The very best magazines for a 1911 pistol are called COBRA - they are made by Virgil Tripp in Texas. His website is www.trippresearch.com

The 2nd generation "COBRA" magazines are now available.

I suggest that you buy what you need now before its too late. THE CLOCK IS TICKING.

Benchmade Model 556 Mini-Griptillian

Description

The Benchmade Model 556 Mini-Griptillian is a Pardue design. It has a 2.91 inch
plain edge, satin finish drop point blade of 440C stainless steel, hardened to
58-60 HRC.. It's overall length is 6.78 inches, and closed it measures 3.87
inches. It weighs 2.56 oz. The locking mechanism is the patented AXIS lock that
is exclusive to Benchmade. The knife can be opened and closed by one hand, and
either hand can be used. Closing the knife does not require putting flesh in the
way of the closing blade, as a liner lock does. A thumb stud attached to the
blade gives a place for the thumb to push on to open the knife. A reversible
steel carry clip can secure the knife in a pocket or waistband.

Blade

Initially, I had a negative bias toward the Model 556 Mini-Griptillian because
the blade steel is 440C. The bias may have its genesis in seeing steels like ATS
34 and 154 CM in higher quality knives and in more knives, and thinking that
440C was relegated to less expensive knives. My bias had no merit. The Model 556
Mini-Griptillian was the sharpest knife I've ever opened. Sharpness is difficult
to quantify, but let me say this. The blade was sharp enough to catch on the
hair of my head.

I test a knife for sharpness first by seeing if the edge will dig in to my
thumbnail. I lay the edge gently on the thumbnail with the blade ninety degrees
to the surface and attempt to move the blade in a direction perpendicular to the
axis of the knife. If the blade catches the nail, and gives some resistance to
movement, the blade is pretty sharp. I then test the edge on my hair.

If it will grab hair on my head when I gently tap the hair with the knife edge
at about a ninety (90) degree angle to the surface of the head, going with the
grain of the hair, the knife is sharp enough to shave hair. Many knives can do
this, but the Model 556 Mini-Griptillian was did it with the least force of any
knife I've tried this with. The knife cut through corrugated cardboard like a
utility knive blade. The blade sharpened easily with several strokes of my
preferred sharpener, the Spyderco Tri-Angle Sharpmaker. The satin finish is
nice. Not too reflective, not too dull.

Scales

The scales on the knife are of a hard plastic. I have no further information on
its composition. The scales have a molded, non-slip raised diamond pattern. The
spine of the scales have shallow cuts as does the back of the blade in the area
where the thumb would be placed to add downward cutting force. These shallow
cuts make it less likely for the thumb to slip when working with a wet
conditions. The scales are attached to the stainless body by small TORX screws.
The shape of the knife fills my medium sized hands comfortably.

Variations

The Mini-Griptillian series knife is available in blue, green, purple, yellow
and black scales. The bright colors make finding the knife a bit easier. The
blade is available in a modified sheepsfoot blade and an oval thumb hole for
opening, or the drop point with a thumb stud opener. Either choice of blade is
available with a plain edge or combo-edge which is the blade about one-third
serrated near the pivot point. Some Mini-Griptillians are available with a BT2
proprietary black Telfon® coating for additional corrosion protection and
increased lubricity.

Impressions

The Mini-Griptillian is not a light-weight knife at 2.56 oz or as it feels in
the hand. It's not a knife that I personally would choose to carry all day,
every day. I tried carrying all day using the carry clip in my back pocket, and
though I had no problems with it making me uncomfortable, there were times it
felt bulky. But there are advantages to the larger size.

The Griptillian is a good size and shape for extended work. It large enough to
grip and hold easily. The blade is thick and deep enough to take more abuse than
a folder should bear. What is interesting, the blade is heavy enough so that the
blade can be opened with a flick of the wrist. This takes a bit of practice. One
has to hold the AXIS lock back, flick the wrist and let the AXIS lock go in just
the right sequence. It's and impressive move, and you couldn't do it with a
light blade with less mass. The friction at the blade pivot can be adjusted with
a TORX screwdriver, so if one doesn't like this feature a bit more tension will
make it hard to open the knife and with less tension, the blade will flash out
like a snake strike.

The carry clip is proportioned to the knife and is easily clipped to the pants
pocket or back pocket. Because the carry clip presses against the raised diamond
pattern of the scales, the knive is very secure when the clip is used. There
was no discernable lateral movement between the blade and the handle in either
the open or closed positions.

I think because of its size and heft the Mini-Griptillian is a fine work knife.
A knife used often and hard through the day, a knife is used more often than it
is carried in the pocket. If I needed a knife carry more than work, I'd opt for
a smaller knife. There is a parallel in the shotgun world. A target shotgun is
generally heavier and longer than a field or hunting gun. A field gun is
generally lighter and shorter. The target gun is shot more than it is carried
and the field gun is carried more than it is shot. Each gun has the
characteristics that suit its function.

When I handle most Benchmade knives, I'm always impressed by the way they feel
when opening or closing them. What comes to mind is that handling a Benchmade
gives the same impression as handling a good break open shotgun or a fine
camera. Benchmade knives operate with a smoothness and precision that I find
only in the better pocket knives. That is the best reason for why I like
Benchmade knives.

The Benchmade Model 556 Mini-Griptillian rates five (5) checks.

At a list price of $85, the Benchmade Model 556 Mini-Griptillian is a high value
item so we add the Shotgun Report Best Buy rating.
