The U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Justice Department today confirmed that documentation challenging Barack Obama's eligibility to be president has arrived and soon will be evaluated.
Confirmation came from DefendOurFreedoms.us, the foundation through which California attorney Orly Taitz has been working on a number of cases that raise questions over Obama's birth location, and therefore his qualifications to be president under the Constitution's demand that the office be occupied only by a "natural born" citizen.
According to the blog, Taitz was informed by Karen Thornton of the Department of Justice that all of the case documents and filings have arrived and have been forwarded to the Office of Solicitor General Elena Kagan, including three dossiers and the Quo Warranto case.
"Coincidently, after Dr. Taitz called me with that update, she received another call from Officer Giaccino at the Supreme Court," the posting said. "Officer Giaccino stated both pleadings have been received and being analyzed now."
The report from the Supreme Court also said the documents that Taitz hand-delivered to Chief Justice John Roberts at his appearance at the University of Idaho a little over a week ago also were at the Supreme Court.

Asked if the rise of a Netanyahu government would make peacemaking more difficult, US president Barack Obama told a televised news conference Wednesday night, March 25: "It's not easier than it was, but I think it's just as necessary." He added: What we do know is that the status quo is unsustainable, that it is critical for us to advance a two-state solution where Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in their own states with peace and security.
Obama noted uncertainty not only about the makeup of the new Israeli government – Netanyahu must submit his lineup to the president before April 3 – but also the Palestinian Authority "which is badly divided."
Tuesday night, Labor leader Ehud Barak won his party round to joining the Netanyahu government.
DEBKAfile's sources report: The US president has kicked off a tough campaign on the Israel-Palestinian conflict that will build up until Passover Eve on April 8 for three reasons:
1. In the face of Tehran's chilly response to his taped message calling for diplomacy, administration spokesman promised several more gestures. These gestures will be outlined in the coming DEBKA-Net-Weekly out Friday, March 27.
2. Friday, March 27, Obama will unveil his new strategy for the Afghanistan war that will also embody steps on Iran and the Middle East at large.
3. He has scheduled a major address to the Muslim world from Istanbul on April 7. Part of his speech will be devoted to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Our political analysts do not expect Obama to be kind to the Jewish State and its new government. He may feel it necessary to respond to the Iranian supreme ruler Ali Khamenei's stipulation that change in Washington must also affect "unconditional US support" for Israel.

A new member of Congress arrived in Washington to a flood of questions from his constituency about Barack Obama's eligibility to be president: Was he really born in the United States, and was he qualified under the Constitution's requirement that the office be occupied only by a "natural born" citizen?
So U.S. Rep. Bill Posey did what most congressmen would do regarding a subject of grave concern to their voters: He proposed a bill that would require future presidential candidates to document their eligibility. And that has earned him scorn and ridicule.
"What you should do is stop embarrassing yourself and take the Reynolds Wrap off your head," MSNBC commentator Keith Olbermann suggested to Posey.
U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie, D-Hawaii, has gone so far as to suggest that Posey's judgment is skewed.

Kuwaiti intelligence chief leaves in a huff
Sheikh Ahmad al Fahd al Jabar al Sabah, head of Kuwait's national intelligence service, arrived in Ramallah Monday, March 23, from Jordan through the Allenby Bridge terminus as guest of Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas. He also scheduled appointments with senior Israeli intelligence officials.
But he cut short his visit and left in a huff when Israel denied him permission to pray at the al Aqsa Mosque on Temple Mount and tour the Church of the Sepulcher in Jerusalem because he insisted on being escorted to these Jerusalem shrines solely by PA officials and security guards.
Israeli authorities suspected that the Kuwaiti visitor and his Palestinian hosts were planning to showcase these visits as part of the banned "Jerusalem – Arab Cultural Capital 2009."
Israel barred the events which the Palestinian Authority attempted to stage last Saturday.
Sheikh al-Sabah's visit to the Christian Church of the Sepulcher escorted by PA officials would have provided Mahmoud Abbas with grounds to claim the custodianship of Jerusalem's holy sites.
The Kuwaiti visitor was granted permission to visit Bethlehem.
The law bans official Palestinian Authority activity in any part of Israeli territory. It was endorsed by the PA under the Oslo Framework Accords. The "cultural" events, which PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas was to launch in Bethlehem, included playing the Palestinian national anthem, flying the Palestinian flag and playing songs of Palestinian "struggle" at the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem – all deemed a political challenge to Israeli sovereignty.

Every time I start to get hopeful and optimistic that Americans are starting to wake up to the tragic satire that has become Washington, D.C., I get a reality check.
I hear or see Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass.
Barney Frank, frankly, is a disgrace.
He personifies all that is wrong with American government.
He is morally and behaviorally unfit for elective office at the lowest level of American society – city council, board of education, party selectman, dogcatcher.
Yet, he has served in the House of Representatives of the United States since 1981!
I know he "serves" a safe Democratic district in Taxachusetts. You don't have to remind me. I know it's a state that also perennially re-elects the equally inept and brain-addled Ted Kennedy to the U.S. Senate. You don't have to remind me. I know Massachusetts has a long history of electing reprobates like Gerald Studds to Congress. You don't have to remind me.
It just seems to me that even residents of Massachusetts would prefer not to have a walking, talking cartoon representing them for 28 years – someone who once allowed a homosexual call-boy ring to be run out of his House office and home. This can't be good for the future of the Democratic Party, let alone the image of the state.
Barney Frank is chairman of the House Financial Services Committee. As such, he presided over the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac debacle that touched off the mortgage crisis, which, in turn, set off the economic calamity besetting the entire country and the rest of the world.
Rush Limbaugh calls him "the banking queen." I heard him also refer to Barney Frank as Elmer Fudd. (Actually, Barney Frank sounds more like Sylvester the cat.) And Elmer Fudd has more redeeming qualities than does Barney Frank. For one thing, Elmer Fudd is funny. There is nothing funny about Barney Frank – at least not Barney Frank in a position of power.
If you look up the word "arrogant" in the dictionary, you might well see a picture of Barney Frank next to the definition.
If you look up the phrase, "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely," in Bartlett's Quotations, again you might see an illustration of Barney Frank as proof positive.
I wonder how it must feel to be represented by Barney Frank. Are the residents of his district proud of him? Does he truly represent their views, their demeanor, their values?
How did the Boston area go from John Adams and Samuel Adams to Barney Frank in just 200 years? It's shocking to think about it. It reflects badly not only on New England, but all of America. We've lost almost everything that made this country great, and it will never be great again with the likes of Barney Frank in Congress.
Candidly (notice I didn't say "frankly"), I don't want to be part of an America that seats people like Barney Frank in the Congress of the United States.
