POCKET PISTOLS - "MY PERSONAL OPINIONS"

YOU ARE HERE FOR AN EDUCATION -

Updated - Monday - July 28, 2008

This photo shows current S&W lockwork on model 642 - This has keyed lock. This is current production on all "J" frame revolvers.

YOU WANT TRUTH HERE IT IS, MORE COMING... You must have quality on the internals and superior workmanship on any firearm you will depend on. Having just decent aesthetics will not cut it or be good enough as you can see by the "JUNK" parts I have shown you below. ONLY YOU CAN DECIDE WHAT YOUR LIFE IS WORTH. You do not have to spend $800.00 plus on a mouse gun when a Ruger "LCP" or a KEL-TEC" is a better pistol for under $300.00..............
....................................................................................

Ruger "LCP" - RECOMMENDED - This is a superior weapon inside and out, its that simple.
Ruger LCP 380 ACP
Ruger LCP 380 ACP

........................................................................................................................................................................
KEL-TEC P3AT - RECOMMENDED

The P-3AT’s .380 ACP chambering makes it an unsurpassed combination of concealability and effectiveness.

BERETTA BOBCAT MODEL 21 - 22 Long Rifle = RECOMMENDED

*******************************************************************

This is a quality "COMMANDER" inside and out made by Teddy Jacobson - it took 90 hours to make this pistol. Value = $3500.00

THIS JEWELED ACTION OF A S&W REVOLVER ACTION IS "QUALITY WORK" - Done by Teddy Jacobson - This shows old lockwork no longer in production...

My personal opinions are on this commentary... I suggest that if you really want to buy a small pocket pistol do not lie to your self, the very best pistol available to a limited degree right now is the second generation Kel-Tec in 32 acp or in 380 acp if you can even find one. I think the Ruger "LCP" is top rated but they are so far back ordered it will be almost impossible to locate one for a decent price at this point in time. They are chambered in 380 acp and the advantage of this Ruger is it fits your hand better and the slide will lock back. BOTH pistols wholesale for about $220.00 - so if you can get any one of them for about $300.00 you are doing good. Both the Ruger and the Kel-Tec have an "EJECTOR" and they fire from a "LOCKED BREECH DESIGN" - this is some thing the Seecamp and the Guardian lack.

Another very worthwhile consideration is to buy a BERETTA BOBCAT MODEL 21 that is chambered in 22 long rifle and they wholesale for about $250.00 = you will not be sorry buying this pistol because when ammunition dries up you will always be able to find some one to barter with some 22 rimfire to keep you operational. ANY WOMAN CAN EASILY OPERATE THIS PISTOL USING ITS FLIP UP BARREL DESIGN.

I HAVE NEVER LIED TO ANY OF YOU, THERE IS NO POINT IN SPENDING A FORTUNE ON ANY MOUSE GUN WHETHER IT BE A SEECAMP OR A GUARDIAN OR A ROHRBAUGH OR WHAT EVER, JUST USE COMMON SENSE AND DO NOT BELIEVE THE BS. JUST CHECK THE PHOTOS BELOW.

Part you are looking at below is a;

Breech face of an expensive Seecamp Pistol - They have no eye for attention to quality detail in my opinion. This is a disgrace.

Magazine Safety:

Also called a "magazine disconnector." A device that prevents a pistol from being discharged when the magazine is removed. This item in this photo is very poor at best and I throw away better parts than this. This part was removed by me from a high dollar Seecamp Pistol.

WELCOME TO THE NO BS ZONE OF TEDDY JACOBSON

Its about time I set the record straight on these mouse guns once and for all. The following are my opinions only based on my experience since I was 18 years old and now I am 67 years old. People in the gun industry "DO NOT" like me because I will not lie for them. My loyalty is to you the buying public that uses a pocket handgun for what ever reason, mostly for protection of life and property but in most cases it is not a primary weapon and it never will be.

Most of my work has always been for people that carry a handgun on the job. I never talk about who I work for or what they do in order to keep you and your families safe, I will never go there. It has never been a secret that my primary survival handgun of choice is a 9mm Glock but there are other weapons that must be carried as a secondary or a third handgun for survival, that is just the way it is.

I do not like a 40 caliber handgun but I do carry one because I have done so much to it and I never use it anymore except to carry for an emergency. Getting back to mouse guns I have carried a North American Arms mini revolver in 22 magnum with a 1 5/8 inch barrel in my pocket for at least the last 13 years. I had Wayne Martin of NAA set it up for me with a non fluted cylinder and test fire it. I have no doubt it will never let me down if and when I ever need it. I have total faith in Wayne.

As for Semi Auto pistols made to fit in your pocket, the very best two brands are the KEL-TEC and the NEW RUGER "LCP"....... These pistols fire from a locked breech and they have an ejector, by comparison the high dollar NAA GUARDIAN and the SEECAMP fire by direct blowback and rely on the left lip of the magazine to help eject the casing, this is in my opinion a piss poor design.

I am going to put up some links of the internals of these very expensive mouse guns for you to judge for your self.

The KEL-TEC wholesales for about $220.00 and the RUGER "LCP" wholesales for about the very same, they are both top rated in my opinion. Thousands of people will be reading this because I am going to leave it up on my blogger longer than usual. You want to be sure and buy the second generation KEL-TEC pistols, they even use Chrome Silicon springs. I CAN BUY THREE (3) KEL-TEC "P3AT" pistols chambered in 380 acp for the price of one $800.00+ SEECAMP pistol.

Its not easy to find a RUGER "LCP" at this time because they are heavily back ordered but that will change.

People in the gun industry have used me and taken advantage of my good nature for years but those days are now over. I FORGOT MORE THAN THEY EVER KNEW. I am not here to please their agenda of making more money, I am only here to lay out the truth to you. These people in the gun business do not have to like me, I command a lot of respect and I control sales because I TELL THE TRUTH. I HAVE NO OTHER AGENDA BUT TO HELP THE MAN OR WOMAN THAT NEEDS TO KNOW WHAT TO BUY TO PROTECT THEIR LIFE.

Another pistol that should not be over looked is the BERETTA BOBCAT MODEL 21, chambered in 22 long rifle. IT WOULD BE A TERRIBLE MISTAKE NOT TO OWN ONE OF THESE PISTOLS, think of the cost of ammunition. These "BOBCATS" wholesale for about $250.00 and they are worth their weight in gold as we implode and hard times come closer. NOW WHY WOULD I SPEND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THESE OTHER PISTOLS WHEN I CAN BUY A VERY DECENT HANDGUN FOR UNDER THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS AND IT WOULD THEN ALLOW ME TO HAVE EXTRA MONEY TO BY 6 EXTRA MAGAZINES.

One of the finest handguns in this world is the "MAKAROV".....They are becoming harder and harder to find so if you own one do not sell it, just buy ammunition, hopefully yours is chambered in 9x18mm caliber.

Another problem handgun is the WALTHER PPK and PPK/S - this is my opinion only. I call them the JAM-O-MATIC... I own a very old one, would I ever carry it for defense of my life ?? = "NEVER" I will let 007 carry his, but its not for me.

I once fired a "BAUER" which was a replica of a baby BROWNING in Stainless Steel and when I fired it the frame cracked in my hand.

I once fired a "STERLING" chambered in 22 long rifle and when I fired it the entire extractor assembly blew out.

I did have a NAA GUARDIAN that was chambered in 25 NAA caliber, I never fired it, I sold the pistol but I kept the ammunition and I have at least 25 brand new boxes of Corbon that I will gladly sell below wholesale cost to any decent person.

IN MY OPINION THE KEL-TEC and THE RUGER "LCP" WHICH WHOLESALE FOR ABOUT $220.00 HAVE FAR BETTER EXTRACTORS ALONE AND BETTER FEED RAMPS THAN THE SEECAMPS AND THE NAA GUARDIANS COSTING THREE TIMES OR MORE. EVEN THE RIFLING AND THE CROWN ARE BETTER IN MY OPINION IN THE KEL-TEC AND THE RUGER "LCP"... THE SEECAMPS AND THE GUARDIANS HAVE NO EJECTOR.

DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, EXAMINE ONE OF EACH FOR YOUR SELF, WHAT DO I KNOW I JUST WORK ON THEM. THIS BLOGGER IS SET UP WHERE NO COMMENTS CAN BE MADE, IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT GO TO YOUR FAVORITE FORUM.

Teddy

Decided to continue some comments that I neglected to tell you about.

Having a pocket pistol it is very imprtant to be able to take it down and clean it each and every time that you use it. The one that is most user (disassembly) friendly is the NAA GUARDIAN but it in my opinion it is very poorly designed. The take down buttom makes it easy to remove the slide. THE QUALITY STOPS WITH THE DISASSEMBLY BUTTON IN MY OPINION.

The KEL-TEC and the RUGER "LCP" are not difficult to disassemble and you can actually use the rim of any 380 acp case for disassembly of the slide to remove the pin. I taper the pin to make re assembly very easy. These are the very two best pocket pistols that money can buy in my opinion regardless of price. The advantage of the "LCP" is that it has a slide lock to hold the slide back that all the others lack. THESE ARE THE TWO BEST BUYS IN AMERICA. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HAVING A POLYMER FRAME.

When you must disassemble the SEECAMP you will need a punch to fit the hole in the slide and it helps to have a third hand, this is BS in my OPINION ONLY.

When Removing the slide of the "NEW" SW WALTHER many that come in here have a serious problem and its a nightmare to remove the slide because it appears that the machining cuts are wrong. I have misery sometimes just getting the slide off these brand new PPK and PPK/S pistols so they must go back to the factory. The SW factory knows all about this problem, whether they would ever admit it or not is another story for another day. THEY ARE BUSY SELLING BAR B Q GRILLS AND MENS COLOGNE AND CHINESE KNIVES AND CHINESE CLOTHING ETC, ETC, ETC. LETS NOT FORGET BILLIARD CUES.

Smith & Wesson motion detector alarm - 80% off

The Daily Deal for Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 is a Smith & Wesson motion detector alarm with programmable keyboard that is selling for the astonishing price of $5.98. That's 80% off the regular price of $29.99.

That's some cheap way to feel more secure in your home. This unit can be secured to a wall near doors or windows (no drilling or wiring required), where you can activate it with a personal code. Any movement in the 20-foot by 90 degree area will cause the unit to emit an ear-piercing alarm, which will hopefully send the intruder running (or you scrambling to find the paper you wrote your code on). The unit uses 4 double-A batteries (not included), and comes with an AC power input (plug not included).

Smith & Wesson Sets Sights on Clothes, Home Decor
CHICAGO - Looking for just the right duvet cover to match your .38 Super?

Smith & Wesson Holding Corp., parent of the legendary 151-year-old handgun maker, is branching out into home decor, clothing and jewelry with a new catalog, just in time for Christmas.

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company hopes the catalog, called Crossings by Smith & Wesson, will expand the gun maker's consumer base and product offerings. The company already sells hunting gear such as binoculars and scopes, and has licensing deals for products ranging from bicycles to golf clubs.

Smith & Wesson Dog Tag Watch Silver

Price Range: $19 - $22
Product rating:

Wear around your neck or on a belt loop or backpack, Includes chain and carabiner, Small dark gray dial on tag, 5Hx5Wx6L"

The move comes after handgun manufacturers, hit by dozens of lawsuits brought by U.S. cities seeking to hold gun makers responsible for gun violence, have cut back on production. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms said there were 623,070 pistols manufactured in 2001, down sharply from the 962,901 made in 2000.

The Crossings catalog features cowgirl pillows inset with beaded studs and faux pearls by New York textile artist Judi Boisson, silk blouses with handmade turquoise and sterling silver buttons, and bedding in a "rustic yet romantic print."

As a general rule a fixed barrel that is attached to the frame is usually very accurate like in the HK P7 M8, (THIS IS THE BEST 9mm ON THE PLANET) - but this does not always work out when there are no sights on an $800.00 SEECAMP PISTOL. Its always been about money, if you ever want to understand what motivates anything in this world, just follow the money trail. go to www.actionsbyt.typepad.com

SOME ONE ONCE ASKED "WILLE THE ACTOR SUTTON" THE FAMOUS BANK ROBBER WHY HE ROBS BANKS AND HIS ANSWER WAS BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE THE MONEY IS AT.

Having a nice looking handgun or even a rifle is wonderful, I really like these kind of weapons but in reality IT IS WHAT IS ON THE INSIDE THAT REALLY COUNTS, THE REST IS BS.

PEOPLE HAVE CONTINUED TO ATTACK ME ON FORUMS FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER - THIS IS AN ANSWER TO THEM - THERE IS A PRICE TO PAY FOR THESE WANNNABBBEEEESSSS TO ATTACK ME, I WILL EXPOSE THE NONSENSE YOU PORTRAY ON THE PUBLIC AND I WILL TAKE MONEY OUT OF YOUR POCKET BY TELLING THE BUYING PUBLIC THE TRUTH.

THINK NEXT TIME BEFORE YOU TRY AND THROW ME UNDER THE BUS, BECAUSE IT WILL COST YOU IN $$$$ - I AM NOT AFRAID OF YOU.

The U.S. Army permitted further access to the Hussein brothers' corpses, and these photos document that. Unfortunately, they seem to have "over-morticianed" the pair, giving the skeptical Arab audience even more reason to believe that we doctored the cadavers. For more detailed information on these two diabolicals, read the Rotten Library entry on Uday Hussein.
