So much for those pledges of "open government."
So much for those promises of "change."
So much for his upcoming oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America.
Barack Hussein Obama is still refusing to disclose to the American public something as innocent and as basic as his full, undoctored birth certificate to establish beyond any shadow of a doubt – and that doubt is growing daily – that he is a natural-born American citizen.
Ironically, now that the election is over, the pressure is building. A few bold members of Congress are getting interested in demanding hearings on the issue. The lawsuits are increasing. More pundits and activists are beginning to mobilize.
I, too, am raising the stakes.
Beginning today, I am personally sponsoring a petition campaign right here at this Internet news source, to all controlling legal authorities to determine Barack Obama's eligibility for the presidency under Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution and to use all of their persuasive powers to make this information freely available to the rulers of this country – we the people.
I also pledge that this news organization will continue to pursue its own independent investigation as aggressively as it possibly can.
To date, here is what we have done:
- Dispatched senior staff reporter Jerome Corsi twice to Hawaii to investigate the matter, including an appeal to the governor.
- Hired a battery of private investigators in Hawaii to check every hospital for birth records – to no avail.
- Sent Corsi to Kenya where he talked with some of Obama's relatives who clearly recall the birth taking place in Mombasa. (While there, Corsi was detained by Kenyan officials and a press conference he had scheduled was canceled at the last minute at the order of Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who has since made clear he has expectations of payback from soon-to-be President Obama.)
I tell you all this because despite the shroud of secrecy over the birth certificate issue, there are some organizations out there insisting it is all a tempest in a teapot – that the issue is settled, that the birth certificate has been released, that Obama has been determined to be eligible by some mystery authority.

The chasm between those who want President-elect Barack Obama to produce his birth certificate to verify his eligibility to hold the nation's highest office and those who simply support the Democrat is widening.
"The Constitution means what we today decide it means," opined one participant on a new WND forum that offers readers an opportunity to express their opinion on the birth certificate dispute.
Meanwhile, as many as 110,000 have signed WND's petition seeking full disclosure of Obama's information.
The petition cites the U.S. Constitution's requirement that no one can be sworn into office as president without being a natural born citizen. It also asserts there are questions about Obama's reported Hawaii birth, that the Democrat has refused repeated calls to document his birth, that activist judges have declined to require him to shed light on the issue and that Hawaii – at the time of Obama's birth – allowed parents whose children were born in other locations to registered the birth there.

Israel will be resolved to use Turkish air space to attack Tehran’s nuclear facilities, says a prominent US political strategist.
In a recent political panel, Charles Krauthammer ruled out the possibility of Israeli warplanes flying through US-controlled Iraqi airspace to launch potential air strikes on the Islamic Republic and claimed that Tel Aviv would most likely opt to use Turkish air space instead.
He claimed that Israel would bomb the Iranian uranium enrichment infrastructure in the same manner it bombed Syria in September 2007.
“The Israelis would not attack (Iran) over Iraq. The way to go is through Turkey…When Israel attacked the reactor in Syria, it went up the Mediterranean and through Turkish air space,” Hurriyet quoted Krauthammer as saying.
Recent reports of Israel beefing up military preparations have fueled speculation that Tel Aviv intends to stage its third attack on Middle Eastern countries over nuclear allegations. Israel had earlier attacked Iraq and Syria, claiming that they sought to attain nuclear weapons technology.

Update 2, 10/12/08 10:40 AM ET: Since originally posting this story Saturday, Atty. Philip Berg’s office informed us that they cannot discuss this matter due to pending litigation, which is understandable. They also informed us that Berg is NOT collaborating with Ed Hale, moderator of a site, “Hillary Clinton Supporters for John McCain” and host of a radio show. We have had no direct contact with Ed Hale, and have no idea whether he’s truthful or not. Whether or not the “tip” we received is accurate, only time will tell. At this time, we have no further independent verification. However, the reason we published this story and the reason we will keep the story on this blog is that the language in Berg’s filing — which is a matter of public record — is specific about the Kenyan birth place, and we assume that the claim is based on something besides wishful thinking.

TD Foreword: Those who have followed this blog know that our working assumption has been that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii. We have asserted that Obama’s legal name and citizenship changed when he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro, and that the birth certificate image published on Obama’s campaign website does not reflect current records. You can read the previous articles referenced at the end of this post to catch up on our analysis.
We now wonder if our assumption about Obama’s birth place was wrong.
I have received an unverified tip that certified copies of a Kenyan Birth Certificate (BC) for Obama were sent from Kenya, and have been received by three separate individuals. I am told that these documents are certified, with an embossed seal, and display the name of the hospital where Obama was born, as well as witness signatures.
Reportedly this BC reflects information filed Oct. 9 by Philip Berg. See item #18 on this docket, page 10, the relevant language of which, underlined in red, is captured here in a screen shot:
It reads:
…Obama was born at Coast Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya located in Coast Province…
We do not currently have any additional confirmation of this new information. If it is an accurate tip, the implications are disastrous for Senator Obama and his backers.

India’s NDTV News Service is further reporting that their elite Marine Commando Forces (MCF) are continuing their battles against the terrorist forces holding an estimated 150 hostages and that the death toll is over 200 dead with nearly 1,000 wounded.
Indian Military Intelligence sources are also reporting to the FSB that the initial ‘confessions’ of those terrorists apprehended show that they are from Pakistan and had entered into Mumbai with what is being termed a ‘strategic attack plan’ giving full details of the attack including the security plans and procedures of all hotels targeted in these attacks.

PM Olmert faces indictment in double-billing air tickets case

Attorney general Menahem Mazuz notified prime minister Ehud Olmert Wednesday, Nov. 25, that pending a hearing, he is planning to file criminal charges against him in the double billing flight tickets affair following a special hearing. The charges include fraud, breach of trust, falsifying corporate records, failure to report income and receiving illegal benefits during his years as a public servant. The prime minister's long-serving aide Ms Shula Zaken faces similar charges.
Olmert, who resigned in the course of the corruption investigations against him, is transitional prime minister until the Feb. 10 general election. He will be under heavy pressure from his Kadima party to step aside immediately so that his successor as party leader, foreign minister Tzipi Livni, can move into the prime minster's office until polling day.
Earlier Wednesday, Raanan Dinur, the director-general of the Prime Minister's Office, was questioned under advisement by the National Fraud Unit. Dinur is suspected of fraud and breach of trust while serving as director-general of the Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry, between 2003 and 2006. Olmert is the primary suspect in this case too.

Five hostages killed at Mumbai's Chabad Center

Jewish Center seized by Islamist terrorists in Mumbai
News agencies quote Israeli diplomat in Mumbai as confirming Friday, Nov. 28, that five of the hostages held in the Chabad Center which caters to Israeli and Jewish visitors to the city were dead. According to India's Guards chief, two bodies were found at the Chabad Center where heavy fighting continues.
Israeli ambassador Mark Sofer said he could not confirm these deaths.
Two of the Islamist terrorists who seized the building were killed.
Several hours after Indian commandoes were dropped on the rooftop of the Chabad center, troops blew a big hole in the outer wall of the building Friday afternoon. An Israeli counter-terror expert is reported on the spot. The parents of the center's director Gavriel Holzman and his wife Rivka held since Wednesday are waiting anxiously for news. Their two-year son left the building with his Indian nanny Thursday.
DEBKAfile reports the commando raid was agreed by the Indian and Israeli governments when it appeared that the chances of finding living hostages in the Chabad Center were declining as time went by.
Two Israeli businessmen were located among the more than 100 hostages released from the Oberoi Hotel Friday. The operation there appears to be over. In the rooms the bodies of 24 guests were recovered. The luxury Taj Palace Hotel is still under siege as Indian troops intensify their pressure on the huge building before nightfall. However, on Day 3 of the assault on Mumbai, the terrorists mounted a second attack on city's main rail station already hit Wednesday. DEBKAfile reports that the fresh attack indicates terrorists remained on the loose outside the primary three hostage locations seized Wednesday. Indian commandoes told the media that the gunmen were obviously well-trained, under 30 and showed no remorse and fired at anybody they saw.
The death toll of the Islamist terrorist assault has risen to 143 with hundreds wounded.
Indian sources identify the terrorists as Pakistani British citizens. The ship which brought them to Mumbai is thought to be an Indian vessel hijacked and sailed to Karachi, Pakistan. French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner is certain they are al Qaeda.

Is Google censoring anti-Obama stories?
Pamela Gellar of Atlas Shrugs claims the search engine giant has banned her groundbreaking articles about Obama – a technique many people refer to as "sandboxing."
"There was no warning, no notice, nothing," Gellar told WND. "They have basically sandboxed me."
"Sandboxing" happens when Google strips a website's rankings from its search engine results. According to some theories, this happens to new websites when Google puts them into a holding area known as a "sandbox" until the site gains credibility.
However, Atlas Shrugs is not new, and Gellar believes her stories have been intentionally suppressed by the Internet giant – especially ones about President-elect Obama. She said her exclusive stories about Obama's birth certificate that once received thousands of hits every day will not come up in Google word searches.
"I was in the top five search results before the story got legs," she said. "These stories drove 12,000 to 15,000 people to my site every day."
But now a November earnings report from shows her Google clicks and revenue flat lining since Nov. 20. Daily page impressions dropped from an average of 20,000 and 45,000 to single digits – overnight. Also, her Google images hits are slowed to only 4,720 since that day, while Yahoo and other search engines list them in the hundreds of thousands.
"The media gives blogs the silent treatment," she said. "The only thing we have is these searches. The Google word search is gone – all gone. When you are in my business, that's how you build readership."
On July 4, Gellar featured a story about a board-certified forensic expert who declared Obama's online birth certificate a "forgery" and an "obvious fake." She attributes most of her problems with Google to that report.
"I think that it's the birth certificate story," Gellar said. "All of the sudden, my numbers were down by 10,000."
