The firing sequence of the P7 is simple: When cocking lever (A) is depressed; drag lever (B) is pressed back. Cocking latch (C) is engaged and holds drag lever (B) in place.
Transmission lever (C) is moved back at the same time as drag lever (B) and tensions firing pin (E) via compression spring (F)
When the trigger is pulled, the transmission (G) pivots sear lever (D) clear of cocking pawl on the firing pin (E) and at the same time, pulls down drop safety catch (H)
Under the action of spring (F), firing pin (E) accelerated forward and strikes primer cap in cartridge.Compression spring (F) returns firing pin to its rest position.

The UK Government is on course to run up a higher budget deficit in 2010 than Greece. New figures on British public finances show that the UK borrowed £4.3 billion more than it received in taxes in January 2010, the first time this has happened. January is usually a bumper month for British tax receipts as people submit their tax returns and corporation tax payments fall due. However, a steep credit-crunch-linked decline in income tax and capital gains tax payments, coupled with a sharp rise in interest payments to cover the Government's debts, forced the UK Treasury to borrow even more money to balance its books. The data confounded economists' expectations of a surplus of £2.8 billion, and falls far short of the £5.3 billion surplus recorded in January last year. It is the first January deficit for the UK since records of this kind were begun in 1993. More here (19.02.10).
